This is a full service vacation. You may part-take in as much or as little of the sailing as you like. If you want to take the helm, we will show you how. The itinerary is up to you depending on weather conditions. In a week's charter, we will visit most of the British and some of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Occasionally we will schedule "Down Island" charters including islands south of the Virgin Islands, so inquire as to the yacht's location if you would be interested in these areas.

A "Fully Crewed" charter includes all meals and beverages in the price. World Class gourmet cuisine, prepared to your own specifications, is proudly presented from Illusion's galley. Flavors of the tropics as well as English and American standards come to your table with skillful art and panache. Dine under the staars at the cockpit table, or by candlelight in the more formal main saloon. The choice is yours.

Your Crew Aboard Illusion II
Captain Roger Perkins sailed from England in 1979 to circumnavigate the world. Arriving in the Caribbean, he was so taken with the beautiful islands, the people and the sailing, that he decided to stay and share his way of life with others.

Roger is a skilled engineer and enthusiastic sailor, who worked in the boat building industry in Guernsey for many years. He loves to help others learn and appreciate the finer points of sailing. He is also a certified SCUBA diver and is mad about windsurfing and hiking.

Ellen (aka. Ronnie) Perkins hails from Southern California where in 1984 she left the bustling lifestyle and a career in real estate to pursue dreams of sailing the high seas. After several ocean passages crewing as navigator and cook on various yachts, she met Roger and Illusion II.  Now, she has been amazing their quests with the fabulous cuisine that comes out of her galley. She also loves snorkeling and hiking, and is more than willing to take guests on guided tours of the islands above as well as blow the sea.

Roger and Ellen have a home in Lompoc, California where they reside during the hurricane season. Roger is a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast. Ellen is an avid gardener, painter, and spends a lot of time perfecting her menus. Both Roger & Ellen spend a lot of time road cycling and camping.

Both Roger and Ellen are non-smokers.
